I've illustrated the covers for the London Short Film Festival brochures a couple of times. The festival is in its 8th year now and they've always had a lady of the cinema on the cover, as a mascot of sorts. Since I've been illustrating it, that's meant femme fatales all the way. In this illustration it's Marlene Dietrich emerging from the depths of a forest pool. This piece also marks the first expression of my forest/jungle/fauna/foliage obsession, of which there is much more to come.
